IMG's Premier League Productions is officially closing, with the English Premier League taking over all production work in-house after 22 years.

The announcement came during the monthly Premier League Huddle, where IMG leadership and their teams gather to discuss wins and upcoming projects. This was the last one before IMG's tenure ended.

IMG executives Barney Francis and John Hollywood discussed the transition with Deadline. The Premier League decided to take control of their own content production.

The shift gives one of world football's most lucrative leagues greater control over how its brand is packaged and distributed globally. Premier League Productions had been synonymous with world-class football broadcasting, but the league believes it is ready to manage production itself.

IMG's exit from this partnership with football's most-watched league is a significant loss for the sports production company. The company's work will remain visible across global sports production, but losing a 22-year relationship with the Premier League marks a notable setback.

The transition will reshape how Premier League content reaches fans worldwide under new management.
