According to Deadline Hollywood, Shepherd posted on social media to thank her supporters: "Family!!!! Thank you so much for all of the love and support over these last 4 years."
She acknowledged the difficulty of the moment. "It was a bittersweet end to a life I got to know so well," she said. She also wrote: "But here is to new beginnings."
Shepherd's past work includes hosting roles on The View and an acting career spanning film and television. What comes next for her remains unclear, though her message suggests she has plans in development.
