Anita Rani is launching Sisters of Defiance, a new podcast debuting next week through her production house Illuminaunty Productions.
The series will feature women who have refused to stay silent. Gisèle Pelicot, the French woman who waived her right to anonymity in one of history's most serious rape cases to stand in solidarity with survivors, is confirmed as a guest.
This is Rani's first podcast as a producer through her own company. Launching Illuminaunty Productions signals she is building her own platform for the stories that matter to her.
The podcast will blend intimate interviews with discussions of women's rights, justice, and solidarity. Rani is known for her interviewing style and ability to engage guests in substantive conversation.
