The Las Culturistas Culture Awards are officially a television juggernaut. What started as a quirky podcast bit from Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers has become a full two-hour televised event, and it is returning to Bravo for round two.
The special airs live on Bravo at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 17, with simultaneous streaming on Peacock. DirecTV and Hulu + Live TV both offer free trials that include Bravo access.
The awards show makes no attempt at seriousness. The categories are absurd. "Best Celebrity Nature Name" includes The Rock, Sky Ferreira, Ivy Wolk, Tree Paine, and Gorillaz. Then there's the "Claudia Winkleman Award For Excellence in Bangs" (Wolk scored a second nod here), and the "Linda Blair Award for Most Terrifying Child or Children in Media," featuring nominations for Weapons, Adolescence, and Angelica from Rugrats.
Other categories include "Outstanding Thing to Say When Forgetting Someone's Name," "Best Temperature," and "Favorite Room in the House, If We're Being So Real."
Yang and Rogers sound confident heading into this year's ceremony. "I think we're really steady this time," Yang told The Hollywood Reporter. The awards show was taped on May 30 with an A-list crowd including Will Ferrell, Hannah Einbinder, RuPaul, and Rachel Zegler in attendance.
