Bravo has cut ties with Below Deck star Nathan Gallagher after he skipped a court appearance in Australia where he faced domestic violence charges, according to Rolling Stone. "Bravo does not plan on working with Nathan in the future," a network representative confirmed on Friday.
The announcement came after months of friction within the Below Deck franchise. According to Rolling Stone, cast members had expressed frustration over Bravo's silence following Gallagher's arrest in mid-August. The network reportedly instructed cast members not to make public statements while fans demanded clarity on whether the 28-year-old would remain on the show.
Gallagher was arrested in Sydney in late December 2025 on assault and strangulation accusations following an alleged altercation with his partner, Gael Cameron, a fellow cast member they met filming Below Deck Mediterranean Season Nine. According to court documents cited by Rolling Stone, he allegedly pinned Cameron down and "plac[ed] both of his hands around the victim's neck applying enough pressure which made her unable to breathe." They share a newborn son born in June 2025.
Gallagher did not appear for his magistrate hearing on Tuesday. He was convicted in absentia on charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, and intentionally choking without consent. Police said he was "believed to be offshore," and a warrant was issued. The judge noted the offenses carried "significant maximum penalties."
Before the no-show, Gallagher told Rolling Stone he'd "made mistakes" but claimed only "one side" of the story was public. He said he had "evidence" that would tell a different account, a statement made before he failed to appear in court.
Bravo's decision reflects how the network responded to pressure from cast and audiences. The delay in taking action became as significant as the action itself. For a franchise centered on yacht life and personal conflict, the company's public statement functioned primarily as damage control.
