The 2026 BET Awards has Cardi B leading the field with six nominations heading into the June 28 ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
The "Get Up 10" rapper's nominations include Best Collaboration, Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Video Director of the Year, and Album of the Year.
Kendrick Lamar and Mariah the Scientist tie for second place with five nominations each. Kendrick, who has won over 20 BET Awards, continues his streak. Mariah the Scientist has emerged as a strong contender this year.
Doechii, Doja Cat, Clipse, Teyana Taylor, Olivia Dean, and Latto each received four nominations.
In acting categories, Denzel Washington, Michael B. Jordan, Regina Hall, and Angela Bassett are competing. Blockbusters including Sinners, Wicked: For Good, and One Battle After Another are vying for Best Movie honors.
The awards show features two new categories: The Fashion Vanguard Award, recognizing style icons with lasting cultural impact, and The Pulse Award, recognizing creators advancing Black culture online.
