Celia Aniskovich's Switchboard is acquiring aggressively. Fresh off sealing a first-look deal with Hulu, the production company behind Call Me Cleo and Beanie Mania has scooped up five short films, according to Deadline Hollywood.

The acquisitions include This Is Private, A Pocket Guide To Pigeon Watching, and Community Theater, among others. Switchboard is expanding into short-form and narrative content.

Aniskovich has also hired Galt Niederhoffer to oversee the company's narrative fiction projects, a move that signals the studio's commitment to premium storytelling.

The Hulu partnership accelerates growth for Switchboard, which has built a reputation for producing content that resonates with Gen Z audiences. The studio's previous hits have generated significant streaming numbers and social media attention.

Sources close to the company suggest this is the beginning of a broader expansion. With a Hulu deal, a fresh slate of original shorts, and a track record in streaming, Switchboard is positioning itself as a significant indie producer.

More announcements are expected soon.
