Demi Lovato is smitten. The "Confident" singer told E! Online that she and husband Jordan "Jutes" Lutes "fall in love more and more every day."

On the eve of their first wedding anniversary (May 25), Demi spoke to E! News' Erin Lim Rhodes about how her love for Jutes has deepened since walking down the aisle. "I really thought on my wedding day that was maxed out, like the most amount of love that you'll ever feel for a person," she revealed in April. "And then time goes by and you just form this connection that is so intimate and so fulfilling that you just fall completely more and more in love."

They're spending their anniversary apart. Both musicians are on tour. Jutes acknowledged the reality: "The fact that it's our wedding anniversary and we're going to be apart really sucks, but we're just gonna pretend," he told E! News. "As soon as tour's over, we'll be together and we'll celebrate."

The two met in the studio in early 2022 while writing songs for Demi's album Holy Fvck. Jutes was immediately drawn to her—he had a "crush immediately" when he walked in—but Demi was cautious at first. "I felt like we connected really quickly," she shared on The Zach Sang Show. "It was like really good friends really fast. I wasn't considering anything romantic."

Friendship shifted to something deeper. After Demi came out of treatment and began her sobriety journey, Jutes supported her through depression. "He was there for me as a friend, helping me get through this deep depression I was in," she told Who What Wear. By March 2022—Jutes' birthday—they became official after he set up a camping scene in his backyard.

Jutes proposed in December 2023 with a custom song called "Carry Me" that chronicled their journey together.
