According to Rolling Stone, a clip posted to the official @WhiteHouse account showed Trump waving the starting flag. The first lady's arm was nearly edited out of frame, and so was Natalie Harp, the president's 35-year personal aide, who was standing just beyond Melania's shoulder.
Public scrutiny over Harp's relationship with Trump has intensified in recent weeks, especially after The Daily Beast and Michael Wolff published letters Harp allegedly left in the president's personal quarters. The Secret Service took the letters seriously enough to warrant attention.
