Jane Schoenbrun is back directing. Her debut feature Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma premiered at this year's Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard competition.
The film stars Hannah Einbinder (the comic from HBO's Hacks) and Gillian Anderson (The X-Files). It's a meta camp noir meets coming-of-age mystery.
Alex G composed the score. Schoenbrun and the composer have worked together before, and the result carries weight.
The film earned world premiere status at Cannes. Cinephiles and industry insiders have already seen it.
Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma hits cinemas on August 7.
