I.O.I has claimed their first-ever Music Core trophy. The legendary K-pop supergroup took home the crown for their 10th-anniversary hit "Suddenly" on the June 13 episode of MBC's hit music show, racking up a total of 7,815 points.

I.O.I squared off against ILLIT's "It's Me" and aespa's "LEMONADE." When the votes were tallied, the members of I.O.I stood atop the podium—their first-place finish on Music Core.

I.O.I, the supergroup formed by YG Entertainment and JYP Entertainment, debuted a decade ago as a special collaboration project. While they've had chart success over the years, a Music Core trophy had eluded them until now.

The June 13 episode also featured performances from BABYMONSTER and BOYNEXTDOOR. But the focus was on I.O.I as they took their moment on stage.

Fans flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating the group's long-awaited win. For a group that has given K-pop so many collaborations, this trophy marks their decade with the award.
