Move over red carpets—Bollywood just went green. The Bhamla Foundation, in association with Hungama, hosted a World Environment Day celebration on June 5, 2026, at Mumbai's Amphi Theatre on Carter Road, with a star-studded guest list.
Jackie Shroff, Malaika Arora, Vedang Raina, Sonu Sood, and rapper Badshah walked the green carpet alongside changemakers from entertainment, business, and public service.
The Bhamla Foundation, spearheaded by Asif Bhamla and Saher Bhamla, focuses on air quality, waste management, plastic reduction, and sustainable living. The event recognised individuals and organisations working on environmental issues.
Shankar Mahadevan, Palak Muchhal, and Niti Mohan performed, while TV actors including Rupali Ganguly, Debina Bonnerjee, Gurmeet Choudhary, and Jannat Zubair attended. Government representatives and public officials also participated.
Influencers like Raghav Juyal and Gaur Gopal Das were present, reflecting growing celebrity involvement in sustainability campaigns.
