Kartik Aaryan shared an emotional post as Chandu Champion marked its second anniversary, prompting speculation about a reunion with director Kabir Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala.
The biographical drama, in which Kartik played India's first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar, appears to have left a lasting impression. "Two years ago, I stepped into the shoes of a man the world had forgotten, and he ended up reminding me of everything I believed in," Kartik wrote, alongside a film still.
Kartik shed 18 kilos for the role. "The 18 kilos I lost were nothing compared to everything I gained," he reflected, describing the project as a significant milestone in his career.
In his post, Kartik hinted at future collaboration: "P.S. Can't wait to share with you all what we have next for you. Bas thoda sa intezaar… Champions will be back!" The remark suggests Kartik, director Kabir Khan, and producer Sajid Nadiadwala are working on another project together.
Director Kabir Khan responded to the post: "What a journey Champ @kartikaaryan Zindagi Bhar yaar rahega…. So proud of this film.." The comment fuelled expectations about an upcoming collaboration.
Kartik credited Kabir for "trusting me with a story this sacred" and Sajid for "making it possible and always being that powerhouse."
