Alexis Wilkins, the aspiring country artist dating FBI Director Kash Patel, has landed a spot performing at Donald Trump's Freedom 250 celebration on the National Mall.

According to Rolling Stone, Wilkins stepped in after major stars like Martina McBride, Morris Day and the Time, Young MG, and Bret Michaels withdrew, reportedly after discovering the event wasn't the "nonpartisan celebration" they'd been promised.

Wilkins announced her spot Tuesday on X, calling it a "great honor." The announcement drew immediate criticism over potential ethical violations. She responded by insisting she is not accepting payment for the appearance and said she is "no longer accepting false narratives and total sham accusations that diminish my hard work and earned accomplishments."

"I have had a successful career in both music and commentary/strategy," she said.

Wilkins has been releasing music since 2015 and graduated from Belmont University's music program in 2020. She was signed to major management companies WME and AMG. Her official debut single "Stand" dropped in 2022.

Wilkins will share the stage with Lee Greenwood and tenor Christopher Macchio at the event beginning June 25. The full lineup remains uncertain, though organizers have said there will be "lots of trucks."
