Kubbra Sait has opened up about her lived experience with ADHD in a video that has resonated with fans on social media. The actress has been candid about what it means to live with the condition.
Growing up, Kubbra was constantly told three things: "You're dramatic, you're distracted, can you please pay attention?" While classmates solved maths problems, her mind was elsewhere entirely—plotting murder mysteries, rehearsing acceptance speeches, imagining future husband drama, and rescuing stray cats. All before lunch.
"The unfinished projects, the hyperfocus, the 57 open tabs, the fact that I can forget why I entered a room but remember a compliment, an insult, and what somebody wore in 2009," she recalls in the video. It wasn't until adulthood that everything clicked into place when she discovered she had ADHD.
But the exhaustion and chaos, Kubbra says, come with another side: the same brain that loses keys builds worlds, creates stories, launches businesses, and writes comedy. It also makes impulsive 2 a.m. online purchases that "felt spiritually necessary."
Ending on characteristic Kubbra energy, she jokes: "I just realised I picked up my phone to reply to one message, and I somehow ended up making this reel instead. But what good content!"
Through her reflection, Kubbra is bringing attention to neurodiversity, reminding audiences that while ADHD presents real challenges, it can unlock creativity and imagination.
