Miky Woodz isn't your average trap rapper—and he's made damn sure of it. The Puerto Rican artist with the signature fiery red beard just dropped his newest album Everything RiaL, a full-throttle trap project that's got the internet buzzing. In an exclusive interview with Rolling Stone, the trap artist opens up about staying true to himself when everyone around him is trying to cut a deal.
"My ideals aren't for sale," Woodz reveals—and he backs it up. Unlike most rappers who stack their albums with guest features, Woodz keeps his albums mostly solo. The reason? He has a strict code: "When I give my word, I keep it." He collaborates only with artists he genuinely trusts, not for the clout or the check.
The album, titled after his longtime catchphrase, marks a shift for the artist. While previous projects like OG City and Built Different mixed genres and vibes, Everything RiaL commits fully to trap—the first time Woodz has done a complete all-trap project. It's a deliberate move following his signing with Rimas.
"I always like to mix things up a bit," he explains, bouncing between street tracks, personal stories, and songs for the girls. The album also features something deeply personal: a track dedicated to fathers, inspired by raising his own son, now a pre-teen.
Beyond music, Woodz has lived a wild ride—he even had a stint as a professional basketball player. Today, he's a mainstay in Latin trap, coming up alongside legends like Bad Bunny, Anuel AA, and Ozuna. But what sets him apart is his ability to spot phonies in an industry drowning in them.
"Not everyone in this industry behaves the same," Woodz tells Rolling Stone, hinting at the fake relationships and empty promises he's witnessed. His "bullshit radar" is sharp.
