Millicent Simmonds is taking a major step forward. The A Quiet Place franchise star has co-written and will star in Grace, a dark crime thriller and the first feature film from Inevitable Foundation's Inevitable Studios, according to exclusive reporting from Deadline Hollywood.

The thriller follows a deaf teenager uncovering her family's violent secrets and buried past. Simmonds developed the project with filmmakers Ari Costa and Eren Celeboglu, who co-wrote the script with her.

Beyond her roles in the John Krasinski-directed Quiet Place franchise, Simmonds has become one of Hollywood's most sought-after performers for complex storytelling, particularly narratives centred on deaf characters and experiences.

By co-writing Grace, Simmonds is shaping the narrative from inception alongside her performance. This degree of creative control is uncommon for actors her age.

Inevitable Studios' debut feature securing a project with a star and co-writer of Simmonds' stature sets an ambitious tone for the production company's slate. Crime thrillers with character-driven depth and authentic representation have strong audience appeal, and Grace appears positioned to deliver both.
