Park Ji Hoon cancelled his Manila fan-con. According to Soompi, YY Entertainment announced on July 7 that the Manila leg of his "RE:FLECT" fan-con tour—originally scheduled for August 8—is cancelled due to "unavoidable circumstances." The event is moving to Macau instead.
This last-minute shift leaves fans in difficult position. Manila has one of the largest K-pop fanbases in Southeast Asia, and August 8 was set. Fans who booked flights, hotels, and time off now face refund questions and the logistics of potentially travelling to Macau—a different city, different travel costs, different everything.
YY Entertainment did not explain what "unavoidable circumstances" means. Visa issues? Venue conflicts? Health concerns? The agency has not said. Vague statements like this tend to fuel speculation rather than settle it.
The Macau relocation reveals something about K-pop touring now. Macau is a major entertainment hub with wealthy fans and strong venue infrastructure, but it is geographically harder for Southeast Asian fans to reach than Manila. This is not a straightforward move; it is a strategic shift, and the choice of where to relocate matters.
Park Ji Hoon's RE:FLECT tour was meant to be a milestone—his first major international fan-con circuit. Cancelling a stop, even with a reschedule, damages that momentum. For a mid-tier K-pop soloist building an international presence, consistency and accessibility in key markets like the Philippines is essential for his brand.
Manila fans will watch for refund policies, whether ticket holders get priority access to Macau dates, and if YY Entertainment reschedules a proper Manila event later. The agency has reputation work to do.
