Peacock has officially rolled out a Starz add-on subscription feature on its home screen, letting viewers add a second streaming service without switching apps.
NBCUniversal and Starz have partnered to give all Peacock subscribers—across all tiers—the option to sign up for Starz within the app. One login, two streaming services.
While bundling is standard in streaming (Disney+ bundles ESPN+ and Hulu), this places Starz in prime real estate on Peacock's home screen. The visibility matters: Starz content gets exposure it wouldn't have as a standalone service.
The timing reflects the current streaming environment. As competition intensifies and subscribers seek consolidated options, Peacock and Starz are betting on convenience. For cord-cutters already on Peacock, Starz becomes an easy add if they want Outlander, American Gods, or other prestige dramas. For Starz, it opens access to millions of potential subscribers without major marketing costs.
The move reflects a broader shift toward fewer apps and bundled services. Whether it benefits consumers depends on how many add-ons they ultimately purchase.
