Phil Collins will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist on November 14, 2026.

Collins dominated the 1980s and '90s with a solo career that yielded multiple platinum albums while he continued work with Genesis. He collaborated with Eric Clapton and Robert Plant, and created "In the Air Tonight"—the song's drum break became one of the most recognizable moments in pop music.

His hits continued throughout the 1990s and into the 2000s. Collins released fourteen studio albums as a solo artist and toured extensively. After 2000, his output slowed due to health issues, but he continued to perform when able.

Collins has not confirmed whether he will attend the November 2026 induction or perform at the ceremony.

Rolling Stone has assembled a quiz testing knowledge of Collins's career across his work as a drummer, vocalist, and solo artist.
