Phoebe Bridgers fans, start counting down: PB3 is officially happening. The indie artist just announced her third solo album, Lost Weekend, dropping August 14 via her longtime label Dead Oceans.

This is the follow-up Bridgers devotees have been waiting six years for—since her 2020 record Punisher dominated the cultural conversation. The wait has felt long, but Bridgers has been quietly building momentum.

Over the past few months, the singer-songwriter embarked on a promotional run that turned heads: a series of phoneless pop-up shows at intimate clubs across America. The tour kicked off in Roswell, New Mexico on May 8 and culminated in a full arena show at New York's Madison Square Garden on June 4. At the Garden, Bridgers made her internet-free stance clear: "If any of you stuck an Apple Watch up your ass to record this, please don't post it on the internet. I'm trusting you."

No official track list yet, but fans who caught the pop-up circuit have heard snippets of new material. The internet is already theorizing about what Lost Weekend will sound like.

The timing is noteworthy. Bridgers has largely stayed out of the spotlight since dropping The Record with her supergroup boygenius (Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker) and wrapping their tour in February 2024. That project earned six Grammy nominations. Her 2020 solo work Punisher received four Grammy nominations.

Bridgers operates on her own timeline. August 14 cannot come soon enough.
