Phoebe Bridgers is making her acting debut in A24's upcoming thriller Primetime, according to Rolling Stone. She joins Robert Pattinson, who plays To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen in what appears to be a dark comedy about surveillance.

The cast also includes Emmy winner Merritt Wever, Matthew Maher, Skyler Gisondo, Anna Farris, and Bokeem Woodbine. In the one-minute teaser, Pattinson portrays Hansen surveying multiple screens. "You see how this looks, right?" he says to the camera. "At the end of the day, man must be held accountable for the decisions that he makes."

Pattinson's voiceover introduces the premise: "I'm Chris Hansen. This is To Catch a Predator of Dateline NBC and you're about to be a part of television history. We're going to be the number one show on TV."

The film carries the edgy, darkly comedic tone associated with A24. Bridgers' transition from Grammy-nominated musician to actor marks a shift into film, with the indie label's selective casting practices suggesting serious creative intent.
