Pink hosted the 79th annual Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall on June 7. Her 14-year-old daughter Willow sat in the front row.
"When I was asked to host the Tonys, I immediately thought, 'I have to get permission from my daughter,'" Pink said. "When I asked my daughter, she was really excited about being able to have a ticket to go to the Tonys."
The red carpet included Usher with wife Jennifer Goicoechea Raymond, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita in a blue suit and polka-dotted tuxedo respectively.
Pink acknowledged Willow's critical eye. "That girl is a tough crowd," she said. A special tribute performance featured Queen Latifah, Julianne Hough, Adrienne Warren, and Dylan Mulvaney.
The Lost Boys and Schmigadoon! led with 12 nominations each, followed by Ragtime with 11. Daniel Radcliffe, Luke Evans, Rose Byrne, Nathan Lane, and Nigel Lithgow competed for major acting awards.
"Broadway has shaped my life," Pink said of the hosting opportunity. "It is a community that is supportive, and inclusive, and full of talent and love." See the full red carpet looks at E! Online.
