Ra Mi Ran and Lee Re are set to face off in the upcoming fantasy film "Strange Snack Shop Jeoncheondang," a South Korean live-action adaptation of a Japanese bestselling novel.
The film centres around Jeoncheondang, a mystical snack shop where customers carrying lucky coins experience magical events and wishes come true. Ra Mi Ran and Lee Re play characters with conflicting beliefs about the nature and power of wishes, creating the film's central dramatic tension.
The production has released 10 stills from the film. Ra Mi Ran, known for her performances in "Smugglers" and "Broker," plays opposite Lee Re, who is celebrated for her nuanced acting work. Their opposing philosophies about fate and desire form the backbone of the narrative.
The wish-granting premise draws on the emotional and fantastical elements of the source material. With two accomplished actresses anchoring the story and a supernatural premise at its centre, the film aims to explore themes of destiny and human desire.
