RuPaul's film Stop! That! Train! landed at No. 9 on the domestic box office top 10 this week, proving the drag icon's star power extends beyond television.
According to Deadline Hollywood, RuPaul's project shared the specialty box office spotlight with Lionsgate's martial arts action film The Furious, which took the No. 8 position after earning $2.75 million across 1,251 screens on its opening weekend.
Fathom's animated feature The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act rounded out the top 10 in its second week.
RuPaul's theatrical film debut represents a crossover from the RuPaul's Drag Race empire to the box office.
Classic Cold War noir The Third Man also appeared on the specialty circuit with a re-release. The weekend showed strength for indie and specialty releases across multiple genres.
