Magic won't be silenced, and neither will the Owen family curse.

The brand new Practical Magic 2 trailer has arrived, and it delivers spellbinding drama. Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman return as Sally and Gillian Owens, the sisters at the center of a family curse that extends to a new generation.

The curse does not stop with the original sisters. Joey King plays Kylie Owens, Sally's daughter, and she is about to learn that the scary bedtime stories her mother once told are real.

"Remember when mom would tell us stories where everyone who fell in love died?" Kylie asks her sister (played by Maisie Williams). Kylie's presumed lover is hit by a car, forcing the next generation to reckon with the family's supernatural legacy.

Sally and Gillian travel to London to help their daughters break the curse. They meet a mysterious character (Lee Pace) who may have answers—or complicate matters further.

Directed by Susanne Bier, the sequel brings back the magical elements of the 1998 original while introducing new characters to the Owen family story. Aunt Jet (Dianne Wiest) and Aunt Frances (Stockard Channing) return to dispense wisdom.

Bullock says in the trailer, "Here's the thing about magic, it won't be silenced"—a warning that the curse has returned and family drama is escalating.

Practical Magic 2 is based on Alice Hoffman's 2021 novel The Book of Magic, continuing the witchy storytelling of the original.
