Cocktail 2 is performing strongly. According to Bollywood Hungama's box office tracking, Shahid Kapoor's romcom musical jumped from Rs 13.10 crores on Friday to Rs 16.39 crores on Saturday.

Saturday's growth fell within the predicted 20%-25% range. The film could collect over Rs 20 crore on Sunday, pushing weekend totals toward the Rs 45-50 crore zone.

Cocktail 2 is already on track to exceed the original Cocktail's Week One collections of Rs 54 crores. The Saif Ali Khan-Deepika Padukone-Diana Penty starrer from 2012 made Rs 71 crores in its entire lifetime. With Cocktail 2 already at Rs 29.49 crores after two days, industry insiders expect the sequel will surpass the original's full run by the end of Week One or early into the second weekend.

The Rs 100 Crore Club is a realistic target, provided the film maintains stability through weekdays and does not lose momentum when Welcome To The Jungle arrives next Friday.

Directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Maddock Films, Cocktail 2 has established itself as a commercial success. Weekday holds over the next few days will determine whether this becomes a blockbuster.
