Sneha Ullal is setting the record straight on one of Bollywood's most talked-about debuts. The actress, who landed a lead role opposite Salman Khan in Lucky at just 17 years old, has finally addressed the elephant in the room: those relentless Aishwarya Rai comparisons.
According to NDTV Movies, Ullal explained that she was never bothered by the comparisons as she was "too young for all that."
Debuting opposite a superstar like Salman Khan is already pressure-cooker stuff. Add the physical comparisons to a reigning beauty queen and former Miss World, and the narrative becomes difficult. But Ullal was too busy navigating her teens to care.
The actress's candour reveals a side of Bollywood debutantes we rarely hear: the ones who sidestep the comparison trap by sheer youth and focus. While most actors would have spiralled into the Aishwarya-lite narrative, Ullal kept her head down and her focus forward.
Whether it was confidence, maturity beyond her years, or teenage obliviousness, Ullal's approach to her launch stood out. She didn't fight the narrative, didn't deny the resemblances, didn't play victim — she simply moved on.
That kind of energy has become rare in Bollywood.
