In a statement covered by NDTV Movies, Razdan said she would "prefer not to waste my time understanding" the negativity around her daughter.
Alia has established herself as one of Bollywood's most internationally recognised talents through multiple Cannes appearances. A single awkward moment does not define that record.

The Bhatt family rarely becomes entangled in prolonged online controversies, in part because they do not participate in the discussion. Alia has moved on to her next project.
