South Park is coming back to take shots at the world — and yes, that includes Trump (literally).

Trey Parker and Matt Stone confirmed the animated series would return for Season 29 with a September 16 premiere during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday. Comedy Central officially locked in the date, with five additional episodes dropping Sept. 30, Oct. 14, Oct. 28, Nov. 11, and Nov. 25.

The announcement came wrapped in classic chaos: a 10-second promo showed Cartman sitting on a toilet, straining and insisting "Hang on, hang on" before the premiere date appeared. Pure Parker and Stone.

Parker and Stone have cut the show's episode count in recent seasons — from 10 to 15 episodes down to five or six — yet the series remains culturally dominant. The compressed schedule allows them to satirize current events in near-real time, making each season feel immediate and sharp.

Season 28 delivered blockbuster ratings and pulled no punches on politics, with Trump's appearances becoming a recurring motif. Heading into Season 29, the Colorado-born creators show no sign of tempering their satirical edge. The timing is deliberate.

Fans are already bracing for what Parker and Stone will target this time. If recent seasons are any indication, nobody is safe from the South Park treatment.
