Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have announced a scholarship initiative funding education for 180 students across Telangana.
According to NDTV Movies, the initiative is Vijay's way of thanking those whose support has been instrumental in his career. "It's my way of thanking those who've believed in me," Vijay said. The Arjun Reddy actor revealed the scholarship programme as his response to the backing he has received from audiences in Telangana.
Rashmika is equally invested in the cause. Both actors have stepped forward together for education in their home state, with the programme expected to directly benefit 180 students and address educational inequality across the region.
This is not Deverakonda's first public charitable move. He has previously championed social causes, though pairing with Mandanna for an initiative of this scale represents a significant joint effort from two of Telugu cinema's biggest names.
