Allu Arjun appeared virtually before the Nampally Court on Monday in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case. His legal team requested a video conference appearance, citing his involvement in a film shoot in Mumbai. The court granted the request.
The hearing was adjourned to July 6. According to theatre advocate Bhanu Chander, all 23 accused named in the chargesheet must be present for the next hearing. Several accused did not appear on Monday.
The case traces to December 4, 2024, when a crowd gathered outside the theatre for the premiere screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule. A 35-year-old woman, Revathi, was killed in the stampede. Her eight-year-old son, Sritej, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Allu Arjun is named as Accused No. 11 in the police chargesheet.
