Carmen Electra is opening up about one of Prince's most iconic quirks. The late music legend requested she sleep in a full face of makeup and lashes during their romance.

The "I Like It Loud" singer told E! News at the 33rd Annual Race to Erase MS Gala: "When I was with Prince, he used to want me to sleep with a full face of makeup on and my lashes. Prince liked that and I was down for it and I still did that for a long time in my life."

Her beauty routine has changed considerably. The 54-year-old now prioritises recovery over round-the-clock glamour. "I have to have at least eight hours or more of rest," she said. "I take really good care of my skin. I wash off my makeup now."

She's also made lifestyle shifts. "I don't drink. I'm sober," Carmen shared, adding that she focuses on skincare and "some 'tox every once in a while. A little Botox never hurt anybody."

The Prince connection runs deeper than beauty demands. Carmen first met the "Purple Rain" legend when she auditioned for an all-girl band he was assembling. Though she didn't make the cut, Prince saw her potential and called her directly. "I received a call from Prince saying I think you should be your own artist and not back up anyone else," she recalled from a 2014 OWN interview. He wrote her a song called "Carmen on Top"—and renamed her in the process.

The romance grew serious enough that Prince's brother once hinted at engagement. "His brother once told me Prince was looking at rings when I was still in Minnesota and that he was going to propose to me," she told E! News in 2016. But when Prince asked if she wanted to work or be a housewife, Carmen chose her career. "I was only 19 or 20 and he ended up never asking me to marry him," she said.

Since his death in 2016, Carmen has held the icon close to her heart. "He made me who I am today," she reflected. "I think of Prince every day."
