Chad Feehan is exiting Dutton Ranch just weeks before the Yellowstone spin-off launches on Paramount+. The show's executive producer and director Christina Voros has responded with restraint.
According to Deadline Hollywood, Voros praised Feehan, who created the ranch world and shepherded the first season to completion before his departure. "I'm grateful to him," she told the outlet, noting the foundation he built.
"Chad created a world for these characters to move into," Voros explained. Launching a new universe within the Dutton universe required significant creative work, which Feehan completed before his exit.
The timing raises questions. Losing a creator a month before premiere could damage lesser projects. Voros stepping into the role suggests the show has structural stability. She has already directed episodes on the property, so continuity should hold.
