Charli XCX has shared a new B-side track titled Playboy Bunny—a pop-punk number available only on her Instagram account and limited edition 7" vinyl, as first reported by Rolling Stone.
The track pairs with her latest single SS26. In an Instagram video posted to her b.sides account, Charli explained: "The reason that they're paired together, these two songs, are because, in ways, they're totally opposite from each other."
"It's sort of a mirror—there are specifically sonic things about it that are extremely opposite to SS26 and I think that's what made it a good B side, a good pair," she continued.
Charli also noted that the Instagram video was filmed the day after the SS26 video shoot, when she was "honestly v hungover lol."
This move is part of her strategy of releasing B-sides ahead of the album, offering fans multiple entry points into her evolving sound. The sonic contrast between Playboy Bunny and SS26 suggests her forthcoming project will be sonically adventurous.
