David Harbour is setting the record straight. The Stranger Things actor has responded to Lily Allen's album West End Girl, which chronicles their four-year marriage ending, and he's making clear: her story isn't his.

In an interview with Variety, Harbour acknowledged the album for the first time publicly, saying it "wasn't my experience." He is not here to bash his ex or air grievances.

"I do believe that it is the privilege of every artist to use their experience to create art, and so I respect her for doing that," Harbour told the outlet. Lily, he was saying, I hear you—but that's your truth, not mine.

The actor stressed protecting his privacy, noting that despite living in the public eye, he values keeping his personal life separate. "Stories are complex, and that's why I say I respect her creation of art to channel her experience," he added.

Allen's West End Girl does not hold back. She writes about a partner who wanted to open their marriage and allegedly gaslit her about her acting talent. The album documents emotional damage from their split through indie-pop production.

Harbour is not pursuing a public dispute. He respects Allen's artistry while disagreeing with her narrative.

He also addressed rumours about an on-set clash with co-star Millie Bobby Brown. The Daily Mail reported that Brown allegedly filed harassment and bullying claims against Harbour with producers before the final season. Harbour has not relitigated that either.
