Jack White is usually armed with a lengthy tirade when it comes to Donald Trump, but even the famously outspoken musician found himself at a loss for words over the former president's newest monument.

The White Stripes legend took to Instagram to express his bewilderment over a towering 22-foot golden statue of Trump that was recently unveiled at the Trump National Doral Golf Club in Miami. The biblical irony is unmistakable.

Evangelical pastor Mark Burns led the statue dedication ceremony, which left White—who was raised Catholic and knows his Judeo-Christian theology—stunned by the optics. The whole thing evokes golden calf worship, which the Bible condemns.

Rather than unleash one of his typically scorching manifestos, White kept it devastatingly simple on Instagram: "The most frustrating part of modern American life is the attempt to make sense of people who don t even CARE that they make no sense at all."

That's the roast. The brevity makes it land harder.

Burns, unsurprisingly, rushed to X to defend the statue, insisting it's "not a golden calf" and that they "worship the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone." He claimed the monument is about "honor," not worship.

The internet is absolutely losing it over White's perfectly succinct callout—because sometimes the most withering criticism is the one that doesn't need a thousand words.
