Following the Knicks' improbable Game 4 comeback victory in the NBA Finals, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' "Empire State of Mind" experienced a 1,245 percent surge in streams among NYC listeners, according to Spotify data.
The 2009 track became the immediate anthem for celebrating Knicks fans who flooded streaming platforms when the final buzzer sounded on Wednesday night.

Ja Rule, Fat Joe, and Jadakiss' "New York" and Frank Sinatra's "Theme From New York, New York" also saw streaming increases as New Yorkers added city anthems to their playlists.
The Knicks have not won a championship since 1973, making the moment particularly significant for fans.
