Nicole Kidman is done playing it straight—literally. The Upsides actress ditched her usual sleek locks to show off her natural blonde ringlets in a farm-day snapshot, and fans are embracing the change.
In a photo shared to Instagram on June 6, Nicole leaned against a farm fence in jeans, a blue button-up shirt, and white sneakers. Her head thrown back, her tresses cascaded down her shoulders in full ringlets. "Weekend Vibes," she captioned the shot, with horses grazing in the distance.
The 58-year-old has been vocal about her decades-long regret over straightening her naturally curly hair. In a May 2025 interview with Allure, she looked back at her role in 1990's Days of Thunder: "Why did I straighten my hair? I love my hair there. That is my natural hair. Isn't that crazy?"
Her advice to young girls is direct. "So, little girls out there, embrace the curl," she said. "Do not follow in my steps and straighten your hair."
Nicole revealed that her curls require humidity and the right products. "I have very wild, curly hair," she said of filming in the humid Florida heat of Daytona Beach.
The Practical Magic star says her natural curls remind her of her daughters. "I look like my daughters," she explained. "Well, that makes sense."
