Paramount and the UFC have agreed to bring UFC action to Canada starting in 2027, expanding the rights deal the pair began in the U.S. last January.

The agreement brings 13 UFC "numbered events"—premium fights that traditionally carried a pay-per-view fee—into Paramount+ subscriptions at no additional cost for Canadian viewers. Numbered events typically include championship bouts and the league's marquee fighters.

The deal begins in 2027. Paramount gains premium sports content for its streaming platform; the UFC reaches a larger audience without the friction of pay-per-view transactions.

The Canadian expansion extends what has become a broader partnership between the two companies. By including elite UFC content in the base Paramount+ tier, both are betting that accessibility and reach outweigh the traditional pay-per-view model.
