Patrick Godfrey, the British character actor known for Ever After (1998) and Les Misérables (2012), has died at 93. According to Deadline, he passed away peacefully at his home in London, surrounded by family on Thursday.

His London-based agency, Markham, Froggatt & Irwin, confirmed the news in a statement. Godfrey "died peacefully at home surrounded by his family."

Godfrey's career spanned decades across prestige film and television. His role in the 1998 romantic fantasy Ever After, starring Drew Barrymore and Dougray Scott, introduced him to global audiences. He later appeared in Tom Hooper's 2012 musical adaptation of Les Misérables.
