Rachel Corp, the chief executive of ITN, has announced her immediate departure after nearly four years in the role.

According to Deadline Hollywood, Ian Rumsey, the boss of ITN Productions, will replace her as CEO.

Rumsey had announced last month that he was joining a rival network. He has now reversed that decision to take the top job at ITN instead.

The timing of both moves — Corp's departure and Rumsey's reversal — has drawn attention across the UK broadcasting sector. ITN is a major producer of British news content, and simultaneous leadership transitions at this level typically signal significant strategic changes.

Rumsey's decision to remain and lead ITN rather than defect to a competitor is a retention win for the company's ownership. The circumstances behind Corp's exit remain unclear, though the coincidence of her departure with Rumsey's promotion and reversal of his own exit has sparked speculation about internal dynamics at the organization.
