Forget your plans this weekend: Every Year After is finally here, and the internet is about to lose it.
Based on Carley Fortune's bestselling novel Every Summer After, the Prime Video series drops all eight episodes on June 10. The show follows Percy Fraser and Sam Florek as they reunite at a Canadian lake town after years apart, moving between six past summers and one present-day weekend. The plot builds on angst, memories, and a romance that never quite faded.
But who's bringing these beloved book characters to life?
Leading lady Sadie Soverall—yes, the Annabel from Saltburn—plays Percy. The actress has also appeared in Finding Emily, Arcadian, Little Bone Lodge, Rose Plays Julie, and the fantasy series Fate: The Winx Saga.
Matt Cornett plays Sam. Fans will recognize him as E.J. from High School Musical.
Adapting a beloved book carried real pressure, but Soverall is confident the team delivered. "The fact that Carley was so involved and it is very faithful to the book, I think it made it really enjoyable to do and it kind of relieved the pressure," she told E! News.
Cornett is equally satisfied with how the series moves between past and present. "You get to see that, even though they've grown up, their life is still inherently at its core the same," he explained.
The series drops June 10 on Prime Video.
