An 8-year-old Swiftie named Madeline became an internet favorite after a wholesome moment with her neighbor caught Taylor Swift's attention and earned her the ultimate gift.
Madeline noticed her next-door neighbor Ethan Hayes spending his afternoons singing and playing guitar. Shy about asking directly, she enlisted her parents' help to send a paper airplane over the fence requesting he play "Love Story."
He did. The video, posted on TikTok by Madeline's mom Natalie Hulec, reached nearly 4 million views and 500,000 likes. Taylor Swift saw it.
Swift sent Madeline a signed acoustic guitar and a handwritten note. "You brought the biggest smile to my face," Swift wrote.
