After saving the galaxy in leather and drama for Dune 3, Timothée Chalamet is trading sci-fi intensity for something completely different: a family-friendly animated film with Selena Gomez and some mischievous aliens.
The newly announced film Not Alone is Chalamet's first feature-length animated project. Chalamet voices Joe, an introverted rocket mechanic, while Gomez plays Fran, an astro-botanist who built the first plant-fueled rocket. The synopsis notes that "neither is particularly adept at romance."
Three aliens named Dunk, Welly, and Shirm crash at Joe's house while fleeing Officer Zandro, a bumbling intergalactic cop. Their plan: use Fran's rocket to escape to their home planet.
Chalamet teased the announcement first with a cryptic Instagram photo of a sky and rocket emoji, captioning it "New movies announcement tmrw :)"
The supporting cast includes Brett Goldstein as Officer Zandro, Rob Brydon, Diane Morgan, and Jamie Demetriou as the alien trio, with Allison Janney and Lamorne Morris in the ensemble.
Not Alone arrives April 16, 2027.
