Waymo is launching Waymo Premier, a loyalty program that costs $29.99 per month and offers rewards for frequent robotaxi users.

Premier members receive 10% cash back on every trip, plus larger rewards during peak hours when surge pricing normally applies. The program includes five free ride cancellations per month and the ability to request a robotaxi in cities still on the waitlist. Members skip the virtual line and receive priority matching on the app while regular users wait.

Waymo arrived at this pricing after directly asking riders what they would pay for. The monthly fee is three times what Uber One costs ($9.99/month).

Waymo Premier launches as the company expands across the U.S. and prepares for an international rollout later this year. The program will not be available in Austin or Atlanta, where Waymo's cars operate through the Uber app. Waymo is also rolling out its new Zeekr-built van, called the Ojai, across Los Angeles, Phoenix, and San Francisco.

Uber One has attracted over 50 million subscribers worldwide. Airlines have long relied on frequent-flyer programs—the big four U.S. carriers depend substantially on these memberships for profitability.

For Waymo, Premier represents a new revenue stream as autonomous vehicles scale across the country.
