Ariana Grande has a message for Justin Long: you can't escape her, even if you try to bury her alive.

In the darkly comedic new video for "Hate That I Made You Love Me," directed by Christian Breslauer, Long's character digs a grave and buries Grande's character. But she doesn't stay dead.

As Long drives away from the scene, Grande materializes in the back of his car, then in front of it, sending him careening off the road in a fiery crash. She taunts him as the vehicle bursts into flames, belting out the track's hook: "Yeah, I, I, I hate that I made you love me."

The haunting continues. Grande pursues Long through increasingly absurd scenarios. When he tosses old mementos into a fireplace, he catches fire in a slapstick moment. He stumbles out alive but charred and flees to a diner, where every patron has Grande's face.

Long loses it completely, returning to the burial site and descending into the pit he dug. Looking up, he sees Grande standing over him with a shovel, ready to bury him again.

"Hate That I Made You Love Me" dropped last Friday as the first single from Grande's upcoming album, Petal. The track was produced by Grande's longtime collaborator Ilya alongside super-producer Max Martin, combining her signature sound with a darker edge.

The chemistry between Grande and Long works on screen. Her relentless haunting meets his increasingly unhinged reactions create a video that demands replay.
