Two heavyweight Dutch production houses are joining forces. According to Deadline, SUPER7EVEN Productions and MN Media are launching SuperIndie, a new studio focused on documentary and factual content.

The partnership brings together two of the Netherlands' most active indie producers. Amsterdam-based SUPER7EVEN Productions is headed by producer and director Jonathan de Jong, whose work has earned international recognition.

SuperIndie will produce human-interest, nature, and social impact documentaries aimed at global audiences. Streaming platforms continue to commission premium factual content, and the studio is positioned to supply it.

The venture reflects confidence in the documentary space despite budget pressures at traditional broadcasters. By combining resources, SUPER7EVEN and MN Media are betting that quality storytelling remains competitive—whether on festival circuits or streaming platforms.

The partnership shows that European indie filmmakers are building production companies capable of competing globally with established studios for stories and audiences.

SuperIndie could shape the direction of premium factual content and where talent chooses to work when given creative freedom.
