Google Labs just released Dreambeans, an AI-powered app that turns your life into cartoons. The tool mines your Gmail, Calendar, Photos, YouTube, and search history to generate AI-illustrated "stories" designed to spark inspiration.
Product lead Gozde Oznur describes it as a personal lifestyle oracle. The app delivers geographical recommendations (new coffee shops nearby), event-triggered ideas (just got a puppy? Here's what puppy life looks like), and curated news articles based on your interests.
Dreambeans limits you to 10 to 14 stories per day, positioning itself as an alternative to endless feeds. The idea is you get your "concentrated drop of inspiration" and then live your life.
The name comes from a literal concept. According to Oznur, the "dream" part refers to the app processing your connected data overnight while you sleep. The "beans" part is like freshly brewed morning coffee—concentrated, caffeinated, ready to energize your day.
Only you see your stories, you can delete data anytime, and you choose which Google services connect to the tool. Oznur says the privacy protections are "pretty solid."
The app is live on iOS and Android, though the rollout is still ramping up.
