Warner Bros has confirmed that Jack Black and Jason Momoa are returning for a sequel to A Minecraft Movie.

Warner Bros Motion Picture Co-Chair Michael De Luca announced that the Legendary co-production follow-up will be titled A Minecraft Movie: Squared, according to Deadline. The announcement came ahead of De Luca's appearance at the Produced By conference, where he will unveil more details about the project.

Jared is returning to direct the sequel. The returning cast also includes Danielle Brooks and Matt Berry.

The original A Minecraft Movie proved that video game adaptations could work in Hollywood. With the sequel already in development, Warner Bros and Legendary are betting on the first film's success repeating with audiences.

No release date has been announced. De Luca is expected to share more details at the Produced By conference panel.
